About Anna

So many of us struggle to figure out exactly what we want to do for a career and I did too. In 2008, through much self exploration and coaching I decided that the answer for me was coaching.

I am a certified ACC coach through the International Coach Federation. I completed my coach training program through Coach U (an international leader in coach training programs) in 2008. I am also a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) ® practitioner through CPP (since 2009) and Emotional Intelligence (EQi) Practitioner through MHS.
I have coached 100s of local and expat clients as individuals and within colleges, Fortune 100 multinational companies, embassies, small businesses, Nonprofit Government Organizations in the Philippines, China, and the United States. Coaching topics include: life changes (moves, motherhood), work life balance, setting career direction, career transition, re-entering the workforce, management style development, time management, leadership development, prioritization, communication skills, and interview prep among others.
I lead workshops for individuals, teams, women’s groups, and organizations on understanding your MBTI type or EQi for increasing self awareness, improving relationships, enhancing group communication, leadership development, and informing career choice.

So many of us struggle to find a career that is the right fit and I did too. I started my career in public accounting and worked for one of the “Big 4” accounting firms for more than 7 years. While accounting was a respectable and stable career and I was good at is (I was even selected to participate in a development program for high talent female managers), it was not my passion. In 2008, through much self exploration and coaching I decided to leave my stable accounting job and become a coach. I completed a coach training program through Coach U and a few months after that I was working with more than 60 clients.

Since then, life has taken me on a journey (literally!). I moved halfway around the world to live in the Philippines, China, and returned to the United States to live in Houston, TX. Along the journey, I gave birth to two sweet daughters. Through all of these moves and transitions, I have maintained my coaching practice because I am passionate about supporting clients through times of transition. I want to help people find a career they love just as I have.

My leadership development coaching is done with emerging leaders and mid-level managers. I work with emerging leaders in college or graduate school through the Doerr Institute at Rice University and other schools or professionals early in their career identify their leadership strengths and develop awareness around their blind spots to become their best leadership selves.
I work with midcareer professionals to help them successfully transition to the next level. We explore current beliefs that may be holding you back, what has made you so successful this far, and work towards gaining new skills needed for the next level leadership position.
My career coaching is focused on partnering with people in career transition, whether you are in High School, College, early in your career, or midcareer looking to make a change, or a stay at home mom returning to work. I start with a process of self-discovery that leads you to find the best fit option for you.
I bring a positive outlook, comprehensive proven process, and sincere enthusiasm to partner with you to move forward in a purposeful way and live a happier life that is more aligned with your true self.

I am currently the Membership Director for the Houston ICF Chapter.
